About Mining Engineering Department :
Mining Engineering discipline is the extraction of minerals from underneath, above or on the ground. Mining engineering is associated with Professional Practice such as mineral processing, exploration, excavation, geology and surveying.
The exploration of natural resources through mining activities have become increasingly important for countries like India, which depends on natural resources for their rising energy needs. For this reason, mining engineers are in huge demand in both India and abroad. Mining industry is playing a major role in contributing to the GDP of India. Mining engineers are required to have multiple skills that majorly include good problem-solving techniques.
Department of Mining Engineering in Sai Nath University was established in the year 2017 and approved by A.I.C.T.E with well-furnished classrooms and well equipped laboratories and “GAS – TESTING CHAMBER”. Our primary aim is to create Mining Engineers with technical skills in Mining works. The department emphasis on providing theoretical as well as practical knowledge to students. Here seminars, mine visits both in Coal and Metal Companies, webinars and many more academic activities are conducted on regular basis which enhances the caliber of students. Our students are well placed in Post Diploma Practical Training (P.D.P.T) in Coal and Metal Companies.
Both Male and Female Candidates are eligible for admission to this program. The course is of 3 years/6 semesters with first semester course common to all branches.
